The merits of entering a lost game: motivations behind filing for an improbable foreign IPO
This study investigates why companies pursue foreign IPOs with low success probabilities. Through a case study, it reveals that managers, aware of the unlikely outcome, used the IPO process strategically to enhance market position by acquiring companies, hiring executives, improving governance, and expanding the customer base. The findings suggest a signaling strategy aimed at boosting perceived market value, offering new insights for future research on corporate behavior in IPOs. [You can see it here]

Entrepreneur decision making process during the internationalization of a company: case study with Brazilian tech based small and medium-sized enterprises
This study examines how entrepreneurs internationalize tech-based SMEs, revealing they use both Effectuation and Causation decision-making logics in a cyclical manner across planning, execution, and improvisation. A new model is proposed, highlighting key activities entrepreneurs undertake, offering insights into how different contexts influence their decision-making process. [You can see it here]
